Greenland has a range of events that impose very different extreme demands on the participants' physical abilities. If you choose to take part in the more extreme events, such as Greenland Adventure Race, your physical fitness and stamina will be tested to the fullest.
Summer and winter events
During the summer months a number of sporting events are organised, such as the Polar Circle Marathon, Nuuk Marathon and Arctic Midnight Orienteering. The winter months also offer the traditional dogsled trip Arctic Palerfik in addition to events such as cross-country skiing in the Arctic Circle Race. All events take place at some of the most popular tourist destinations in Greenland so there are plenty of opportunities to spend time exploring neighbouring towns and settlements. A variety of excursions are also offered to keep the participants' companions busy during the trip to Greenland.
