Day 1:  Ilulissat  - Evening Sailing among the Icebergs
Upon arrival in Ilulissat, you will be transferred to our accommodation. Ilulissat is perfectly located at the mouth of the spectacular UNESCO icefjord. In the evening, you go for an impressive sailing trip among the gigantic icebergs in Disko Bay. These frozen giants calved from the most productive glacier of the Northern Hemisphere, the Sermeq Kujalleq. This glacier is one of the most productive glaciers in the world. It annually calves 35km3 of ice into the UNESCO Icefjord. Sailing around the gigantic icebergs in the evening sun is a fantastic experience. You spend your first night in Ilulissat.

Day 2: Panorama Icebergs hiking along the Icefjord
After breakfast, we will hike from Ilulissat to the abandoned settlement Sermermiut at the Icefjord. For 4000 years different Inuit cultures lived here and today we can see some interesting remains from their time. We will learn about the life of the Inuit before the Europeans came to Greenland. From here we will hike to Holms Bakke, where the people of Ilulissat meet every year on the 13th of January to welcome the sun back after a long dark winter. We will have lunch at Holms Bakke before we continue our walk along the spectacular UNESCO Icefjord. Night in Ilulissat.

Day 3: Kayaking experience from Oqaatsut
In the morning we will be transferred by boat to the small settlement of Oqaatsut. Today we will go kayaking in Disko Bay. Before we start, you will get a short introduction to kayaking and then we will practice a bit just off the coast of Oqaatsut. We then head off in the direction of the icebergs. We will paddle among the icebergs in the bay and enjoy the spectacular view. After about one and a half hour we will stop in front of a sea cave which we will explore with our kayaks. We will then paddle to the small island Qeqertaq, where we will go on land and hike to a summit where we will have an amazing view of the stunning Disko Bay. From Qqertaq we will paddle some 40 minutes between the icebergs back to Oqaatsut. We will have some refreshment in Oqaatsut before we take the boat back to Ilulissat. Night in Ilulissat.
