On this spectacular trip you will explore the fascinating Greenlandic ice cap and spend the night in a tent in the middle of the ice. We drive from Kangerlussuaq through tundra and moraine valleys to the great Greenlandic ice cap. Wit a little luck we might see some musk ox, Arctic foxes or reindeers on the way. We will spend two days exploring the unique landscape of the ice cap, fascinating valleys, melt water lakes and glacial rivers. In the evening we will enjoy a breathtaking view of the glacial landscape in the midnight sun.

Day 1: Kangerlussuaq - Point 660 - ice cap
The tour starts in Kangerlussuaq, just north of the Polar Circle. In our 4x4 vehicles we drive though tundra and moraine valleys to Point 660. With a little lucky, we might spot some musk oxen, arctic foxes or Greenlandic reindeers on the way. After a two hour hike through the spectacular glacial landscape we will arrive at the camp in the middle of the ice. If conditions allow, we will go on a short evening hike. The sight of the ice cap is absolutely spectacular. We will spend the night in a tent in a warm and comfortable sleeping bag.

Day 2: Ice cap - Kangerlussuaq
After breakfast we venture out onto the ice and explore the amazing glacial landscape. If the weather allows, we will hike towards Russell Glacier. We will get a great impression of the huge crevasses which created the calving glacier. In the afternoon we pack up our camp and drive back to Kangerlussuaq where we spend the night.
