Day 1: Kangerlussuaq - Point 660 - ice cap
The tour starts in Kangerlussuaq, just north of the Polar Circle. In our 4x4 vehicles we drive though tundra and moraine valleys to Point 660. With a little lucky, we might spot some musk oxen, arctic foxes or Greenlandic reindeers on the way. After a two hour hike through the spectacular glacial landscape we will arrive at the camp in the middle of the ice. If conditions allow, we will go on a short evening hike. The sight of the ice cap is absolutely spectacular. We will spend the night in a tent in a warm and comfortable sleeping bag.
Day 2: Ice cap - Kangerlussuaq
After breakfast we venture out onto the ice and explore the amazing glacial landscape. If the weather allows, we will hike towards Russell Glacier. We will get a great impression of the huge crevasses which created the calving glacier. In the afternoon we pack up our camp and drive back to Kangerlussuaq where we spend the night.
Day 3: End of trip
Today this trip ends in Kangerlussuaq.
