How to get there
From the international airport in Kangerlussuaq you can fly with Air Greenland to Aasiaat. From here you can travel onwards to Kangaatsiaq by helicopter (Air Greenland). You can also sail to Kangaatsiaq on Disko Line's small passenger ships from Aasiaat.
How to get around
The best way to discover Kangaatisaq is on foot. Local sailing in Disko Bay takes place in the summer with Disko Line's ships. In winter you can discover the town and its surroundings on dogsled, snowmobile or on skis.
Where to sleep
In Kangaatisaq you have excellent opportunities to gain an insight into Greenlandic family life. There is only private accommodation in the town. You can also put up a tent in the mountains and spend the night under flapping canvas.
