How to get there
Air Greenland has almost daily connections to Aasiaat with flights from the international airport in Kangerlussuaq. Aasiaat also has weekly aircraft and helicopter connections to other towns in Disko Bay and connections by sea on the local Disko Line depending on the season.
How to get around
The best way to discover Aasiaat is on foot. You can also get around the town by bus or taxi. Local sailing in Disko Bay takes place in the summer with Disko Line's ships. In winter you can discover the town and its surroundings on dogsled, snowmobile or on skis.
Where to sleep
There is a fine Seamen's Home, just as you can stay privately or put up a tent in the mountains, where the countryside and view pleases you most. Other options are to rent apartments and rooms.
