Greenland has an enormous coastline that has a total length of some 44,000 km (27,500 miles) – more than the circumference of the Earth – and there is therefore plenty of nature to enjoy both from the sea and on the land. In recent years cruises in Greenland have become an increasingly popular form of travel in the summer months, when several different popular routes are on offer. Each successive year has seen a rise in the number of cruise ship guests visiting the country, but Greenland still has nowhere near the degree of hustle and bustle that can characterise popular cruise destinations in other parts of the world.
