Description:
The mouth of the Icefjord is an impressive sight. This two-hour sled ride takes you on a 7-km journey across the hills of Small Akinnaq to a beautiful observation point. The trip crosses the undulating terrain with a team of dogs at the front and back of the sleigh acting as engine and brakes when you go up and down hill. Not recommended for anyone with back problems. Incl. coffee/tea.

Description:
This is the excursion for you if you want to try your strength against the Arctic winter. We will go by the sledge-track to Aattartoq where we meet the sea-ice. See the fishermen pull up the many halibuts from the deep sea. After visiting the fishing-spots we will go to an island North of Ilulissat glacier. We will follow Ilulissat´s most beautiful sledge-track till the small fiord Kangerlukasik where we will spend the night. We will head back among the icebergs in the ice fiord for Ilulissat the day after.

Description
About 6000 dogs are used for work and for fun. The longline-fishermen are using the strong dogs for transportation of halibut-fish between the ice fiord and Ilulissat - today the modern machine power still can't compete with the Inuit dogsledge. We will invite you to join the feeding of a dog team. You can see, feel, touch and most of all hear the howling of 20 hungry dogs. The owner will demonstrate the sledge, the harness, the whip and tell about the life as sledge-dog in Greenland.
