07.06.25 - Book a cruise with FRAM in 2008 and save DKK 2,000

M/S FRAM is Hurtigruten’s brand new cruise ship, which has recently been put into summer service along Greenland’s coasts.

The ship can carry 250 passengers and is in great demand, as is evidenced by the fact that Hurtigruten can report that it is almost completely sold out for the 2007 season.

Greenland Travel is currently offering customers a chance to save DKK 2,000 if they reserve a seat in advance on FRAM in 2008, where there will be a choice of three different voyages along Greenland's west coast. These are as follows:

Disko Bay and Uummannaq, 8 days
The route runs north across Disko Bay with stops at the town of the ice mountains, Ilulissat, at the impressive glacier, Eqi, and in the beautiful town of Uummannaq near the heart-shaped mountain. Prices in the low season from DKK 15,900; in the high season from DKK 17,800. Departure period: 5 June - 7 August 2008.

Disko Bay and Thule, 15 days
The name of Thule has a magic ring to it, and on this 15-day cruise travellers will be able to experience the ultimate of what Greenland has to offer in terms of wildlife, scenery and culture. The trip is really quite out of the ordinary. The route is laid out in advance, but can be changed underway should something exciting occur, for example if whales are spotted. Prices from DKK 32,000. Departure dates: 14 and 28 August 2008.

From Kangerlussuaq to Reykjavik, 12 days
M/S FRAM is the perfect base for an unforgettable voyage along Greenland's coastline and the Ice Sheet to Iceland, the island of the sagas. Through panoramic windows and from the deck there are views of fantastic fjord systems, icy fells and whales. There are several stops ashore that enable travellers to experience Greenland's unique culture, nature and hot springs. Prices from DKK 24,500, e.g. 11-23 September 2008.
