One of the biggest differences for travellers will be that from 1 October 2007 physical tickets will no longer be issued when you travel on one of Air Greenland’s scheduled services. In future, you will just have to show your passport or another accepted type of photo ID in addition to your booking number when checking in.

Another important change concerns payment. All bookings made after 1 October must be paid for when booking. The system is built up around a “book&pay” module, which is a method that is already widely used when making transactions on the Internet. This method will now be implemented in connection with all types of direct sales, includng over-the-counter sales and telephone sales at travel agencies, as the entire system is Internet-based.
According to Air Greenland, journeys that were booked prior to 1 August for departure after 1 October will be rebooked and any affected passengers will be contacted.
