10.01.11 - “Cruise & Hotel” – New cruise concept in Disko Bay

Disko Line makes it easy to book a cruise in Disko Bay with its new “Cruise & Hotel” concept. This concept is the first of its kind in Greenland.

The Disko Line shipping company has put together a number of exciting and different cruises which all combine ship transfer and hotel/hostel in Disko Bay, and which make it easy for individual travellers to plan and book a cruise themselves.

In collaboration with various hotels and hostels in Disko Bay, Disko Line has developed a reservation system which enables customers to receive immediate confirmation of their booking. Customers just have to choose the desired route on Disko Line’s website, after which the system does the rest.

Earlier, it was both difficult and expensive for individual travellers to independently plan and book a cruise in Disko Bay, but with “Cruise & Hotel”, a trip to Greenland becomes both cheaper and easier to plan. All overnight accommodation and all sailing trips can be booked in a single process. Customers then only have to book the flight ticket to Greenland themselves.

There are options of choosing comfortable stays at hotels or cheaper solutions at hostels. All overnight accommodation includes breakfast, however.

The “Cruise & Hotel” concept was launched on 1 January 2010.

Read more about Disko Line’s cruises in Disko Bay and the timetable for 2010 at http://www.diskoline.gl/, where sailing trips to and from Uummannaq can also be booked.
