The SIKU Arctic Challenge

An adventure race for tough competitors
The SIKU Arctic Challenge is the adventure race for people looking for a major challenge. The well-known sports event is held on the beautiful unspoilt island of Ammassalik close to Tasiilaq in East Greenland. A total of 250 kilometres (156 miles) presents competitors with diverse challenges such as climbing, orienteering, mountain-biking, glacier trekking and canoeing and a total of 10,000 metres (33,000 feet) that have to be climbed.

Teambuilding and working together
Participation in the The SIKU Arctic Challenge is the ultimate test of teambuilding, as no teams can successfully negotiate the demanding race without mastering the art of working together as a team. The most successful teams in the event have not necessarily been the strongest physically, but rather the teams that have set themselves realistic goals, have been characterised by mutual trust and thereby also the best working relationship.

Next SIKU Arctic Challenge
The seventh edition of the SIKU Arctic Challenge will be held from 17th - 26th July 2008. As is the case every year, each team must have 4 participants – and from 2007 company teams can also compete in a tailor-made company team race called Arctic Team Building.
