From March 2007 Greenland will have no less than two unique golf tournaments that are held in the Arctic winter with white greens and colourful golf balls. Golf-lovers from all over the world therefore have the chance to play golf in surroundings that are not only unfamiliar, but also quite exceptional.
Lake Ferguson Masters is the new initiative that will take place at Kangerlussuaq in West Greenland for the first time in 2007, whilst the World Ice Golf Championship has been held in Uummannaq in North Greenland since 1997.
