South Greenland
Five characteristics:
South Greenland is a land of contrasts! It is the part of Greenland, where you find the most varying landscape. Green and luscious grassland reaches down to the deep, blue fjords. Next to this, you see snow-cowered peaks and glaciers coming down from the ice cap. You do not experience such a contrast at other places.
The region has a well-developed farming industry with extensive grazing pastures for sheep and horses and some of the best-preserved Norse ruins.
