Impressions for life

Greenland is a great place to visit at any time of year. Every season has its own special character. The country offers experiences which will appeal to bon viveurs and adventurers, aesthetes and dramatists. It is just a matter of hand-picking exactly the right package to suit your arrangement.

Because of its climate and scenery, Greenland is often associated with the extreme and the boundary-breaking. Indeed, a teambuilding course can easily include elements that impose very special demands for co-operation, co-ordination and willpower.

Climbing in a crevasse

Yet it is equally true that there is plenty to offer for those who just wish to stimulate all the senses in enjoying and taking in all the impressions – whether from the deck of a ship, a dogsled, a helicopter or a snowmobile.

Impressions and adventures:

The inland ice
Ice is the hallmark of Greenland. You find it everywhere. On walks, in a four-wheel drive car, or on a bicycle in Kangerlussuaq. You can fly to it or sail amongst the icebergs in Ilulissat, or see it in Nuuk on a sailing trip or from a helicopter. The inland ice never fails to fascinate.

Dogsled trips
Dogsled trips of various lengths and durations are the real hit in the winter. Over level fiord ice with icebergs frozen in. In Ilulissat trips can be arranged even for large groups. Other winter options are snowmobiles or ice fishing – so the participants can bring home their own supper.

Sailing
Study the playful whales or see the ice calve. The sea gives access to spectacular areas of nature. Sailing on Godthaab Fiord near Nuuk gives a good chance of seeing whales, or else sail from Ilulissat between the impressive icebergs of all shapes, with their blue-white shades.

World-class cuisine
The cuisine of Greenland respects both the classic and the modern styles of cooking and offers fresh local delicacies: musk ox, lamb, reindeer, trout, freshly caught Greenland halibut, eider breast, little auk, polar guillemot, scallops and huge delicious prawns.

Teambuilding
Rappelling in crevasses is one of the more advanced exercises on a teambuilding course. Greenland offers lots of natural challenges, where teamwork is critical – a good basis for personal development.
