The Greenland Tourism and Business Council is Greenland's official industrial development enterprise and 100% owned by the Greenland Home Rule.
Greenland Tourism was founded in 1992 with the primary aim to develop a viable tourism industry and market the adventures of Greenland. Today, the chief target groups of the Greenland Tourism and Business Council are entrepreneurial self-starters and small companies in the field of land-based trade, industry and tourism. The marketing of Greenland still plays an important role.
Greenland Tourism concentrates its efforts on the following six main areas: consultancy, innovation, marketing, competency development, documentation and information.
The Greenland Tourism and Business Council is based in Nuuk, where the organisation provides consultancy, innovation, competency development, documentation and information. Greenland Tourism's marketing office in Copenhagen provides marketing, promotes exports, distributes informative materials, maintains relations with the press and travel agencies and replies to queries from consumers.
